‘Ma non Troppo’ is quite an experimental sounding album but at the same time not difficult to get on with at all. Some would have classed it as ambient but I think there is just too much going on (though in a subtle way) to have that label attached to it. It seems as if much care has been spent in making sure that the combination of sounds go together just fine and that the dynamics of the recording are such as to always retain interest. There are also laid back gentle melodies. It features loads of effects and what sounds like processed guitars. This is top-notch stuff.
